Not a yearbook photo
The school takes one photograph of you against a grey background in a borrowed drape. This is the other one. The one that goes on the wall, in the announcement, and in your grandmother's wallet for the next thirty years.
A senior session should look like the person you actually are at eighteen, not a generic teenager. So bring the horse. Bring the guitar, the cleats, the truck, the dog, the friend who makes you laugh properly. Those are the details that make the pictures yours.
What We Can Shoot
Every Version of Senior Year
Senior Portraits
The main session. Multiple outfits and locations, shot the summer or autumn before senior year so you have plenty of time before the yearbook deadline.
Cap & Gown
Once the regalia arrives in spring. Quick, usually half an hour to an hour, on campus, downtown, or on the beach. The photos the school day itself never gives you time for.
Friend Groups
Split the session with two or three friends. Everyone gets solo shots plus the group frames, and the cost splits with it. Very popular for cap and gown.
Sport, Music & Whatever You Do
In uniform on the field, with the instrument, at the barn with your horse. If you have spent four years on something, it belongs in these photographs.
College Commitment
Signing day and college-shirt sessions, on your own or with the friends heading off with you. Worth doing before everyone scatters in August.

Getting the Timing Right
When to Book
Senior year moves faster than anyone expects. This is the part parents ask about most.
Check the yearbook deadline first
Every school sets its own, and most fall somewhere in the autumn. Find your date, then work back about six weeks. That leaves room to shoot, edit, choose, and submit without a scramble.
Summer before senior year
June through September is the sweet spot. Warm evenings, long golden hour, and no conflict with the school and sports calendar that takes over once term starts.
Autumn books up fastest
September and October are the busiest weeks of my year, because senior sessions collide with family holiday-card sessions. If you want those dates, book well ahead.
Cap and gown is a spring job
Separate from your main session and much shorter. Book it once you know when the regalia arrives, usually a few weeks before graduation.
Evening, not midday
The hour before sunset is the best light of the day and nobody squints in it. Sessions start around 4:30pm in midwinter and as late as 7:15pm in midsummer — the sunset table has every month.
Left it late?
It happens most years. Get in touch anyway. Short-notice sessions are often possible, and I can prioritize a rush edit if you are up against a deadline.
Where We Shoot
Locations Around Sarasota
Pick one for a single-location session, or two or three for an extended one
Siesta Key & Crescent Beach
White sand, west-facing sunset, and water that photographs like nowhere else in Florida. The classic Sarasota senior look.
Oak trails and back roads
Live oaks, Spanish moss, and quiet sandy roads. Green, moody, and completely different from the beach. Also the easiest place to bring a horse.
Historic downtown Sarasota
Brick, murals, and warm evening light bouncing off the buildings. The right choice if you want an urban, editorial feel rather than sand.
Banyans and gardens
Enormous banyan roots and lush green make a dramatic backdrop that stands out in a yearbook page full of beaches. Some gardens charge admission.
Your campus
Especially for cap and gown. The building you actually walked into every morning for four years means more in ten years than a pretty background will.
Your field, barn or garage
Wherever you have spent your time. The pitch, the pool, the stable, the car you rebuilt. Tell me and we will make it work.

Senior Session Questions
The summer before senior year is ideal. Most schools set a yearbook submission deadline in the autumn, so shooting in June through September leaves time to choose images and submit without rushing. Check your school's exact deadline first, then work backwards about six weeks from it.
A one hour session is $250 with 20 to 30 edited images and one location. A two hour session is $400 with 40 to 60 edited images, multiple outfits and up to three locations. Both include an online gallery with full-resolution downloads and print rights, and there are no print minimums.
Two for a one hour session, three or four for a two hour session. Bring more than you think you need and we will decide on the day. Solid colors and simple patterns photograph better than busy prints, and it helps if the outfits suit the location.
Yes to all of it. The props that mean something to you are what make a senior session look like you rather than a catalogue. I have photographed seniors with horses, guitars, sports gear, cars and dogs. Just tell me in advance so we choose a location that works.
Yes. Cap and gown sessions are separate from senior portraits and usually happen in spring once the regalia arrives. They are quick, often thirty to sixty minutes, and can be done on campus, downtown, or at the beach. Friend groups are welcome and popular.
Edited galleries are delivered in about two weeks. If you are up against a yearbook deadline, say so when you book and I will prioritize a rush selection for you.
